First Washington Realty, Inc. is a privately owned real estate investment, advisory and management company which specializes exclusively in the acquisition, ownership, financing, and management of neighborhood and community shopping centers located in densely populated areas throughout the United States and abroad. The Company endeavors to make sound, long-term investments for its own account and on behalf of its clients in what it believes to be particularly well-located, intrinsically valuable, income producing real estate.

First Washington is wholly owned by its principals, who first partnered together in 1983, and who have now specialized in the ownership and operation of shopping center portfolios for over twenty years. The Company employs the same individuals as senior executives who were instrumental in the formation and operation of First Washington Realty Trust, Inc., a publicly-held real estate investment trust which traded on the New York Stock Exchange until February 2001, at which time its portfolio was acquired by the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (”CalPERS”), the largest public pension fund in the United States.

In addition to providing shopping center services to other third party clients, the Company currently serves as both advisor to, and joint venture investor with CalPERS, in connection with the acquisition, development, ownership and financing of shopping centers and related properties worldwide.

The Company employs a variety of professionals who provide acquisition and disposition, asset management, renovation, marketing and related shopping center services.

The Company maintains its principal office in Bethesda, Maryland.
