Stuart D. Halpert - Chairman

Mr. Halpert is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of First Washington Realty, Inc. He was the co-founder and Chairman of First Washington Realty Trust, Inc., a public company which traded on the New York Stock Exchange, prior to its sale and liquidation in February of 2001.

Following the sale of the public company, Mr. Halpert co-founded the new First Washington Realty, Inc. as a private company to facilitate the acquisition, ownership, and management of shopping centers throughout the United States. First Washington Realty, Inc. currently provides advisory, management and related services to over 255 properties.

Prior to the formation of the predecessor First Washington companies in 1983, Mr. Halpert was a practicing attorney specializing in real estate transactions and banking matters, and before entering private practice, he served as Counsel to the House Banking Committee, U.S. Congress. Mr. Halpert is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Brown University and his Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School.

William J. Wolfe – President and CEO

Mr. Wolfe is the President and Chief Executive Officer of First Washington Realty, Inc. He was the co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of First Washington Realty Trust, Inc., a public company which traded on the New York Stock Exchange, prior to its sale and liquidation in February of 2001.

Following the sale of the public company, Mr. Wolfe co-founded the new First Washington Realty, Inc. as a private company to facilitate the acquisition, ownership, and management of shopping centers throughout the United States. First Washington Realty, Inc. currently provides advisory, management and related services to over 255 properties.

Prior to the formation of the predecessor First Washington companies in 1983, Mr. Wolfe was a principal in a real estate firm that developed commercial properties in Washington, DC. Prior to entering the real estate business, Mr. Wolfe served in the Executive Office of the President of the United States. Mr. Wolfe is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Clark University and his Master’s Degree from Harvard University.

James G. Blumenthal – Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Blumenthal is an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First Washington Realty, Inc. He is responsible for financial areas including reporting, debt and equity financings, banking relationships, the treasury function, management information systems and accounting.

Prior to joining the original First Washington in 1986, Mr. Blumenthal was a practicing CPA with the international accounting firm of Grant Thornton. He spent eight years at Grant Thornton including five years in the audit department and three years in the tax department. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from George Washington University and his Master’s of Science in Taxation from The American University.

Jeffrey S. Distenfeld – Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Distenfeld is an Executive Vice President and General Counsel of First Washington Realty, Inc. He joined First Washington in 1989 and is responsible for all legal matters. On a daily basis, he works with First Washington’s acquisition, leasing, management, construction, marketing, and accounting professionals to address all aspects of transactions as well as landlord/tenant issues and opertional matters. He also has responsibility for oversight of outside legal counsel.

Prior to joining First Washington, Mr. Distenfeld was a partner with the law firm of Lane and Edson, P.C., where he specialized in real estate and financing transactions. During the past 20 years, Mr. Distenfeld has focused on all aspects of real estate and corporate and business matters.

Mr. Distenfeld is a member of the bar of, and qualified to practice in, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Mr. Distenfeld is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from The George Washington University and his Juris Doctorate from The University of Virginia School of Law.

James G. Pounds – Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Pounds is an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of First Washington Realty, Inc. Mr. Pounds joined First Washington in 1988 and has over 20 years of experience in virtually every facet of the commercial real estate industry. He is currently responsible for overseeing the acquisition, disposition, leasing, asset management, redevelopment, and renovation activities of all of First Washington’s properties.

Prior to joining the original First Washington, from 1985 to 1988, Mr. Pounds was a Vice President with T.F. Stone Companies, Inc., a regional real estate development
firm located in Dallas, TX. From 1981 to 1985, Mr. Pounds was a Project Manager with HKS, Inc., an international architectural design and engineering firm located in Dallas, TX.

Mr. Pounds is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from The University of Kansas and Master’s of Business Administration and Master’s of Architecture Degrees from The University of Illinois.
